I really wanted to tell you how great Marie, our guide, was positive, enthusiastic and went out of her way to get to know and build a rapport with the kids, even though our trip was only 3 days. She listened to us very closely, and modified the timing of some things on our suggestion, without difficulty. She was friendly and outgoing, but not overly so, and not overbearing in any way. Just perfect, really, there whenever needed and in the background when that was appropriate. She made suggestions that were helpful - for example, the first night when the boxed supper was so poor, the kids wouldn't eat it and were starving after the ghost walk. We asked her to help and she led us to the perfect place for a late meal. We ended up with a lot of happy kids to take back to the hotel, thanks to her. In another instance, she led the bus out to the water park in her car so that we could cut straight down to the 401 afterward and head home and not spend time taking her back into Ottawa. That probably saved us 45 minutes or more on our loooong busride home, and we really appreciated that. Marie was really great. I just wanted you to know!

“Quebec City was the best experience for the students and the chaperones. The Plains of Abraham workshop and the city tour was a highlight. The young men engaged the students in meaningful and educational activities. It is fun to learn especially when you don't know you are learning.”
